Service Description
A complete in-person consultation for new colour clients, major colour changes and anyone considering full-head colour, bleach, blonding, foils, balayage, vivid colour or colour correction. Amy will assess your current hair colour, condition, scalp, previous chemical history and desired result before discussing what can be achieved safely and realistically. Your appointment includes an allergy alert test for the relevant professional colour products. Where appropriate, a strand test may also be taken to assess your hair’s condition, lifting ability, underlying pigment and likely response before a larger colour service. We will discuss the recommended service, maintenance commitment, estimated appointment time and expected price. A separate colour appointment will then be arranged if the service is suitable. The £25 consultation fee can be redeemed against the agreed colour appointment booked within 30 days. No full colour application, bleaching, foiling or corrective work is completed during this consultation.
Cancellation Policy
This consultation is required for new colour clients, significant colour changes and services involving permanent or demi-permanent colour, bleach, blonding, foils, balayage, vivid colour or colour correction. The £25 fee covers up to 45 minutes for consultation, hair and scalp assessment, colour-history review, allergy alert testing, service planning and a strand test where required. It may be redeemed against the agreed colour appointment booked within 30 days. The credit is non-transferable, has no cash value and cannot be used against unrelated services or retail products. No full colour, bleaching, foiling or corrective service is performed during this appointment. You must provide a complete and accurate history of professional colour, home colour, bleach, toners, vivid dyes, henna, metallic salts, colour removers, smoothing treatments, perms and other chemical products used on your hair. You must also disclose allergies, sensitivities, scalp conditions, previous reactions, medication changes, recent medical treatment and anything else that could affect the planned service. An allergy alert test must be completed within the timeframe required by the product manufacturer, salon insurer and Spectrum Hair Boutique. Failure to complete or correctly monitor the test means the future colour appointment cannot proceed. An allergy test reduces risk but cannot guarantee that a reaction will never occur. Any redness, itching, swelling, burning or discomfort must be reported immediately. Medical attention should be sought for a serious reaction. A strand test may be required before bleach, colour correction, vivid transformation or other high-risk work. Strand-test results provide guidance but do not guarantee that every section of the hair will respond identically. Consultation does not guarantee that the requested result can be safely achieved, completed in one appointment or offered at all. Amy may recommend an alternative result, staged appointments, preparatory treatments or declining the service where the hair or scalp could be compromised. Any quotation is based on the information and hair condition present during consultation. Changes to the requested result, hair condition, regrowth or colour history may alter the final time and price.
